Welcome to our 2013 stage reports, presenting the rally on the way from Almeria to Dakar. Click on the particular day and check out the pictures, videos, results and multilingual information on the stage.
The time has passed (22 hours) and yet there are teams that have not returned to the bivouac in Smara. Today's results are also not ready due to the fact that the race direction has not yet returned. It is certain though that todays stage has been very fast in sections (one of the KTM 690 Rallys has clocked 180km/h), and very tricky in others. The speed may also have been the cause off quite a few accidents (without serious injuries). Several bikers have come off and 2 off the cars have rolled. Yesterday's race leader in the car category from KB System got unlucky, and had to be towed back to bivouac by the Org. Tomorrow's stage will bring us to the coast at Boujdour. Its going to be another long and demanding day (500km), the route bringing on all sorts of surfaces. Despite all the challenges, spirits are still high, and people are looking forward to seeing the ocean. Tommorow's update from bivouac Boujdour..
